The Valais takes Woolfi's best-selling slip-on and adds a natural rubber sole — so you can go from the kitchen to the letterbox without a second thought. It's the modern, do-anything version of the Suffolk, for days that don't stay indoors.
Roomier through the toe box and instep, the Valais is also the go-to if you've found the Suffolk a little snug — wider feet and higher arches will find more room here.

Handcrafted by Nepalese artisans from New Zealand wool, the Valais is warm in winter, breathable in summer, and moulds to your feet the more you wear it.
Available in Charcoal, Stone, and two new neutrals — Cloud & Mist — both easy to wear with everything.

Are your rubber soles flat? How do they compare to suede soles?
Yes — our soles are made from natural crepe rubber sheet and are flat rather than convex or domed. Unlike some moulded rubber soles that feel firm and rounded, crepe rubber is soft, flexible and designed to move naturally with your foot.
In feel, crepe rubber is quite similar to suede — it has a supple, slightly cushioned texture and will gently mould over time. The key difference is durability and grip.
- Suede soles are beautifully soft and breathable, ideal for strictly indoor use on dry surfaces, but they can wear more quickly and don’t offer as much traction.
- Crepe rubber soles provide the same comfort-led flexibility while offering added durability and light grip, making them more practical for everyday indoor wear.
